Vanessa Kormylo, attorney, has been practicing in family court litigation for more than 27 years. She graduated from Regent University School of Law in 1996. For several years, she also handled closings along with her litigation work but gravitated to litigation, suspending closing work for a while. Recently, she has decided to divide her practice again between litigation and real estate closings. The challenge of litigation and applying her experience to a particular case keeps her fighting in this arena; however, real estate closings are a great contrast to litigation and allow for more transactional thinking and problem solving, meeting new people and reaching closure much more quickly. She is a feisty force and a straight shooter, always protecting her clients to the best of her ability.

Jennifer Stevenson, family court paralegal extraordinaire, works closely and tirelessly with family court litigation clients. She is passionate about helping children get and stay safe and healthy. She is extremely friendly and approachable, has a bubbly personality and treats everyone with respect. She is gifted at breaking down massive amounts of information for trial into usable and workable formats. Through the years, clients have always greatly appreciated Jennifer’s behind the scenes efforts that are above and beyond the average support staff. She won’t stop until your case is in tip top shape for presentation.

Laura Solomon, real estate paralegal, is probably going to be the nicest person you ever meet. But don’t let her fool you, she’s not just nice – she’s brilliant with closings. A lender recently reported that the firm is nice but Laura is the reason he closes with us….She’s a whiz at coordinating all the moving parts and calmly and gently getting everyone to the closing table. Her turnaround time has broken records. In fact, you will probably want to buy more homes or refinance over and over just to get to work with her. She’s that good. We call her Wonder Woman because of her super powers.

Betty Hartman, office administrator, is hands down the client favorite. Two days a week, she greets you, sends you information you request, coordinates scheduling, prays for you, keeps the lights on and generally runs the office. She rarely goes homes without calls returned and getting the right information to the right people even if she has to stand on her head to track it down from the rest of us. She keeps us all on our toes and we are grateful for her support.
